Research Achievement: Strengthening Foundational Literacy Through Multimodal Teaching

A significant academic achievement has been recorded by educators from Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, with the publication of a research paper in Insight: Journal of Applied Research in Education, Department of Education, University of Kashmir.

The research paper, titled “Building Strong Foundations: Multimodal Teaching for Foundational Literacy under MPUN Bharat Mission,” has been published in Volume 30, Issue 1 (2025) of the journal. The publication reflects an important effort to connect classroom practices with the goals of foundational literacy and the NIPUN Bharat Mission. The journal listing identifies the paper's key areas as language development, NIPUN Bharat, FLN, NEP 2020, and educational strategies.

The study was authored by Dr. Atul Bamrara, Government Primary School (GPS) Chaunrkhal, Pauri Garhwal, along with Shri Jagmohan Singh Kathait and Ms. Renu, from the In-Service Training Department, District Institute of Education and Training (IET), Pauri Garhwal. The research brings together the perspective of a practicing primary-school educator with the professional experience of teacher educators involved in in-service training.
