Students Won Double Gold at the National Cyber Security Awareness Competition!

We are thrilled to share a historic milestone for our school community!

Students from Government Primary School Chaunrkhal (Pabau Block, Pauri Garhwal) have brought immense honor to our village, our district, and the state of Uttarakhand by securing First Place in two separate categories at the prestigious National Cyber Security Awareness Competition (2026) organized by Information Security Education and Awareness Division (iSEA) of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) - Government of India. Competing against schools from across India, our young learners proved that big ideas and creative talent thrive right here in our classrooms.

Double Triumph on the National Stage

Organized online between July and September 2026, the national competition invited students across the country to spread awareness about safe internet practices, digital hygiene, and online safety. Representing GPS Chaunrkhal with exceptional enthusiasm, five of our bright stars — Dakshit, Anmol, Aradhya, Yashwant, and Sheetal — participated as two teams and bagged top honors in both.

Category 1: Cyber Hygiene Song (First Prize)

Our students composed and performed an energetic musical piece that made essential digital safety rules — like strong passwords, cautious clicking, and safe browsing — easy and fun to remember.

Category 2: Street Play / Nukkad Natak (First Prize)

Through expressive acting, dialogue, and sharp wit, our team staged a street play demonstrating real-life online fraud, privacy protection, and how to practice responsible digital behavior.

Learning That Reaches Beyond Textbooks

In an increasingly connected world, digital awareness is no longer an optional skill—it is a vital life shield. Seeing primary-grade students understand complex topics like phishing, data privacy, and ethical internet habits, and then present them so creatively, is a testament to the power of hands-on, joyful learning. This victory proves that with the right platform, curiosity, and encouragement, students from rural government schools can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest across the nation.

This remarkable accomplishment was made possible through dedicated guidance and community support. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Dr. Atul Bamrara (Assistant Teacher), who conceptualized the presentations, simplified critical cyber safety concepts for our students, and tirelessly prepared both teams for the national stage. Our Headmaster Smt Nanda Rawat expressed immense joy, remarking that this milestone elevates our entire school family and will inspire every student in our classrooms to aim high. We are deeply honored by the warm wishes and appreciation shared by our Director - ART, Smt. Bandana Garbyal, and Block Education Officer, Shri Amit Chauhan, who commended the school for setting an inspiring benchmark in foundational and digital education.
