A health check-up program was organized at Government Primary School Chaunrkhal, Pauri Garhwal, under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), an important initiative aimed at promoting the health and well-being of children through early identification and timely intervention. The program provided an opportunity for schoolchildren to undergo basic health screening and receive guidance on healthy habits, personal hygiene, nutrition and overall well-being. The children participated enthusiastically in the health assessment and interacted with the visiting health team. The program also helped create awareness among students about the importance of regular health check-ups and seeking appropriate care whenever required.

Health and Education Go Hand in Hand
Good health is fundamental to effective learning. A healthy child is more likely to attend school regularly, participate actively in classroom and co-curricular activities, and develop with confidence. Programs such as RBSK are particularly valuable in school settings as they promote a preventive and holistic approach to child health, helping identify health concerns at an early stage and facilitating appropriate support.
At GPS Chaunrkhal, the initiative further strengthened the school's commitment to the holistic development of children, where education encompasses not only academic learning but also health, hygiene, life skills and well-being. The cheerful faces of the children at the end of the program reflected the success of an initiative that placed their health and happiness at the center. A healthy child learns better, grows stronger and dreams bigger.
