Dr. Atul and Poonam Bamrara Delivers Insightful Online Presentation at PM-USHA Sponsored National Seminar

A three-day PM-USHA sponsored National Seminar on “Transforming Classroom Dynamics: Innovative Approaches to Upskill and Reskill for a Dynamic 21st Century Classroom” organized by the Department of Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed., MSCB University, Baripada, brought together eminent educationists and researchers from across India. Among the distinguished invited speakers, Dr Atul Bamrara and Poonam Bamrara from Department of School Education - Government of Uttarakhand delivered an impactful online presentation on the theme “Evolving Digital Education: ICT Infrastructure and Teacher Readiness in Remote Schools of Uttarakhand.”

They highlighted the urgent need for robust ICT infrastructure, capacity building of teachers, and contextualized digital interventions to bridge the learning divide in Himalayan and remote regions. Drawing from field-based insights from Uttarakhand's government schools, he discussed:

  • Status of digital devices, connectivity, and electricity in remote blocks

  • Ground realities of classroom technology usage

  • Teachers’ digital readiness, challenges, and evolving competencies

  • Alignment with NEP 2020, FLN goals, and inclusive digital education

  • Strategies for sustainable digital adoption in geographically difficult terrains

Their presentation received notable appreciation for its data driven analysis, policy alignment, and practical recommendations for strengthening digital learning systems. The seminar also featured key experts including Prof. Santoshi Halder (University of Calcutta), Prof. Vimal Kishor (C.U. Ranchi), Prof. Hrushikesh Senapaty (RIE Bhubaneswar), and several renowned academicians from Fakir Mohan University, Jadavpur University, MPC Autonomous College, and others.

The event aimed to equip educators with innovative pedagogical approaches, emerging educational technologies, and 21st century teaching competencies.
