Government Primary School Chaunrkhal, Pauri Garhwal, received an encouraging appreciation during a surprise visit by Chief Education Officer Mr. Atresh Sayana. Without prior notice, the Chief Education Officer visited the school and directly reviewed its academic arrangements, available facilities, teaching-learning resources, classroom environment, and students’ learning levels. During the visit, the Chief Education Officer interacted directly with the students to understand their knowledge, comprehension, confidence, and level of participation. He asked questions from the students and observed their responses and engagement. The learning levels of the students were found appropriate and satisfactory, while the overall facilities and arrangements of the school were also found appropriate.

A special highlight of the visit was the school’s QR Code Garden, which attracted the attention of the Chief Education Officer. He appreciated the innovative initiative of integrating technology, nature, and learning within the school campus. Through the QR Code Garden, students can access information related to plants and the environment using digital resources, transforming the school surroundings into an interactive learning space. The initiative reflects the school’s efforts to make learning more experiential, engaging, technology-enabled, and connected with the local environment.

The Chief Education Officer also observed the school’s child-centered and activity-based learning environment. The school regularly uses experiential activities, locally available resources, teaching-learning materials, indigenous games, and digital tools to provide meaningful learning experiences to children. During the visit, school teacher Dr. Atul Bamrara and School Head Ms. Nanda Rawat briefed the Chief Education Officer about the various academic initiatives, innovative practices, and student-centered activities being undertaken at the school. District Coordinator Mr. Manmohan Bhardwaj was also present during the visit and observed the school’s educational activities and innovative initiatives.

The positive observations made during the surprise inspection were particularly encouraging for the entire school community. Since the visit was conducted without prior preparation, the appreciation of the school’s facilities and students’ learning levels provided meaningful encouragement to the teachers and students for their continuous efforts. The visit also provided an opportunity for the school to reflect on its ongoing practices and identify further possibilities for improvement. The school remains committed to strengthening foundational learning, joyful education, experiential learning, innovation, and the effective use of technology to support the holistic development of every child.

The school family expressed its gratitude to Chief Education Officer Mr. Atresh Sayana and District Coordinator Mr. Manmohan Bhardwaj for their valuable observation, guidance, and encouragement. Their positive feedback has further motivated the school to continue its efforts toward providing quality, child-centered, innovative, and meaningful education.
